The common peace image combines and changes the animals in Isaiah 11:6. The biblical wording names a wolf, lamb, leopard, goat, calf, lion, and yearling rather than a lion lying with a lamb.

The wolf will live with the lamb, and the leopard will lie down with the goat; the calf and the lion and the yearling together.

Earliest traceable appearance in this record: Isaiah 11:6; wording varies by translation.
